I Don't Want To Grow Up

I wish I were Peter Pan,
So I could fly away to Neverland.
I could eat and eat and never gain,
If I hurt my leg I'd go through no pain.
I could soar the world and outerspace,
I could be part of a pirate chase.
I'll tell stories to the group,
cause lost boys are part of my troupe.
I would have stayed thirteen forever,
If someone told me to grow, I would never.
I wwould live forever and ever in Neverland.
Now im fourteen but I know that its fine, Since im still a kid i have some time.
So one day I hope to fly away,
and from neverland I shall return for just one day.
To say goodbye to all I know,
for Neverland are for those who can crow.
And though I can't crow yet i will soon learn,
Cause I must since from there I shall never return.
For those who'll miss me you should try some day,
To think of happy thoughts and just fly away!
Past the stars that day you'll see,
Neverland is the happiest place to be!

Dedication: I wrote this poem a few days before I turned fourteen because I feel that I am growing up too fast and I wished to be Peter Pan and stay thirteen forever.....after my birthday, I wrote a second poem that said how I still have time to go to Neverland and I decided to combine the two poems and submit them together so enjoy!!!
