Mending A Broken Heart

When time passes I see your face
Day and night I cradle your taste
I love the way you looked at me
With your sweet brown eyes I crave for thee
I always thought this love would never end
Through thick and thin we will always mend
But now I know this isn’t true
Because I’m here sitting… thinking… of how you made my world blue
You said back then that you would never leave
But on that one day you learned to deceive
I still remember that huge fight
I had so much to say that’s why it lasted all night
You left and never said goodbye
Leaving me behind with that painful lie
In that one moment you turned my world upside down
Everyday I walked around with a frown
I felt that I had to fade and break away
From my world that turned so gray
I struggled with the hurt and pain
Realizing the lessons that I just gained
Now my broken soul has healed
From those emotions that I sealed
I will always cherish the love we had
When you changed my life and left me glad
