I Love My Soldier

Foreign Lands my soldier roams
we wait for him to come home
As the months passed by
Our son was born
In his absence we cried
Foreign Lands my soldier is a man
There for his friends, family and foe
His pain, we will never know
I miss my husband
My soldier
My friend
Here waiting for it all to end
The days are long
The nights are cold
Without my husband to hold
I try to fight back the tears
But when I hear his voice
I feel as though he is near
It would be nice to see
My soldier, my husband, my friend
Father of four
Son and brother
Today come through our door
I love my soldier, my husband, my friend
The father of four
My heart is his
Forever More
