Relationship Advice from Dr. Luvmore |
Dear Dr. Luvmore,
I have entered a relationship and I'm curious about how you make love bites that leave a mark which will last for quite some time...and I hope you could give me some tips that will not cause pain to my partner.
Please reply as soon as possible...thanks

Dear 'Love Biter,'
It sounds to me that you're asking about what's commonly called a 'hickey.'
Hickeys are much like bruises, they are caused by breaking blood vessels below the skin.
You can make a hickey on another person by placing your mouth over their skin, keeping your mouth slightly open, and sucking. The sucking part usually hurts a bit, since you do have to actually damage someone else's blood vessels in order to leave a mark. Be sensitive to your partners feelings; if they say it hurts, ease up.
You can experiment with the amount of sucking and time required to leave a lasting mark. This can sometimes be kind of fun!
But, remember, hickeys are made to be seen, and that means pretty much anyone may notice it.
I'm not sure how old you are, but parents are usually pretty unhappy to see hickies on their children.
