I close up to stop intruders from getting too near;
A taste of true love is my biggest fear.
I'll be damned if I am going to get hurt again, but my heart wants to believe that you're worth the pain.
Never again do I want to be the foolish tart, but you make me laugh and you're winning my heart.

It's stupid to think that you make me feel this way, everything was so normal just yesterday, but now I'm all nervous and I feel rather weary;
Who ever thought being with you could be so scary?
A quick bout of bravory and I reach out to touch, but you make me laugh and it gets too much.

I hate Myself because I'm not good enough, I feel too fat, too stupid, I look a bit rough;
My self confidence has gone straight out the window.
I scream at the mirror and I feel so low.
Sometimes I'm all ready to take out that knife, but you make me laugh and brighten up my life.

If I ever was brave enough to ask would you say yes, but I don't know if I could make your life a mess;
I'm so useless I would only ruin it all.
I'd try so hard but we'd still only fall.
You hold my hand and my hearts feels like screaming, but you make me laugh when I see that I'm not dreaming.
