There's something about you
That never goes away
And there's nothing I can ever do
To forget that cold winter day

When I confessed my true feelings
Through difficult words and tears
And as if on the ground kneeling
You answered me, and a mystery of two unsure years

You looked deeply into my eyes
And inched ever so near
So as to increase the size
Of the lovely way I perceive you, dear

By pouring out your affection
And demonstrating your beauty
I completely understood your apprecation
When you so sweetly kissed me

Such was it, that when your lips first met mine
I thought surely I was dead
Because your hair passing through my fingers
Felt like heaven to my head

And sometimes now when I walk by
A patch of grass or flowers
I start to break-down and cry
Minutes progressing to hours

Because their sweet scent reminds me
So much of you and the time
When you kissed me meaningfully
And I could call you mine

Well I miss those days
And it makes me so sad
Upon the years passed, to gaze
And remember losing what I once had had

It hurts the most
To know that quite likely
I'm no more than a ghost
Of whom you seldom think,
or even remember completely

And since we're not even friends
It will remain forever a secret
And I'll continue to pretend
I don't realize that
