That Feeling

You know that feeling where there's just something missing.
It feels like a tiny hole in your heart.
You don't really know what it is,
but you know it's tearing you apart.
I think about the two of us and what we had,
all the things we talked about and all the things we kept inside.
I look back on all of that now,
and it makes me really sad.
I can't believe that you're not there anymore,
it's like you've vanished.
I never really realized
how much I cared about you before.
I've heard that things change,
and that nothing ever stays the same.
I never knew that it could be you,
and that I would have to rearrange.
It's really rough,
and sometimes I don't feel strong enough.
You were always there for me,
you were always tough.
I need that little helping hand,
to help boost me along,
because i can't do anything right,
everything seems to be wrong.
If you could just please come back to me,
I'll try not to mess up.
Just give me another chance,
and you will see.
People say that I need to give up,
that I shouldn't give you another chance.
But I realize that they just do not understand,
without you in my life, my heart will erupt.
When we're together, I can be myself.
I don't have to hide anything from you.
Because I know that you won't judge me,
like others do.
I really care about you, I do.
It's from the bottom of my heart.
It really means that I care,
every word I say to you.
