The Bad Day with Benefits

Woke up this morning, feeling great,
three hours of sleep, running late.
Homework not done, hair a mess,
and on top of that, had to take a test.
Pants wrinkled, couldn't find my shoes,
starting to feel the morning blues.
Hurried out the door all in a rush,
realized my teeth I forgot to brush!
Ride pulled up, had a frown on my face,
knew it was going to be one of those days
Ran up the stairs to my locker,
in front of me was one slow walker
Finally reached my destination
and the late bell rang to my frustration
Got to math, took a seat at my desk
and the teacher said, "Time to take the test."
Oh great. I completely forgot;
knew if I cheated I'd surely get caught
After that class, on the way to art,
tripped and fell, heard laughter start
Cheeks turning red,
wished I was just dead!!!
All of a sudden a cute guy walked up,
said,
"Are you okay?"
Was so surprised, didn't know what to say!
"Umm yea sure." I began to mutter,
stomach started to flutter
"Here," he said, "Give me your hand.
You're on the floor, wouldn't you rather stand?"
"Thanks," I said after a while,
returning his gesture with a smile
When I stood up, he looked into my eyes,
my bad day was ending with a nice surprise
We became friends and more.
Who knew love could start from falling on the floor?
